Dark Peak Trail Run
The 4th edition of this longer trail running event on the footpaths, tracks and trails within the spectacular surroundings of the Northern/Dark Peak District starting and finishing from Hayfield and including The Sett Valley Trail, The Pennine Bridleway, Lantern Pike and Chinley Churn. This is a hilly, moorland trail run in amongst stunning Northern Peak District scenery. Choice of 25.3 km/15.7 miles (690 m/2263 ft of ascent) or 12 km/7.5 miles (280 m/ 919 ft of ascent).
- Both courses are fully signed with Dark & White arrows, a colour OS route map will also provided.
- Marshalled feed station (long route only), water station (both routes).
- Choose your distance 25.3 km/15.7 miles or 12 km/7.5 miles – gold, silver & bronze time awards/certificates awarded on each course.
- Trail running related prizes on the day for all men’s and women’s age category winners and runners up on each course. (NB: classes will be merged if entries are low in any of the age categories)
- Staggered group start windows every 10 minutes; choose your preferred start time when entering.
