Bakewell Food Festival
The Bakewell food festival which attracts thousands of visitors is now in it’s ninth year, approximately 100 stalls will be scattered around Bakewell’s streets of this beautiful historic river side market town. Yes, the focus is on food and drink, offering an eclectic range of fayre to tempt the palate, and will once again celebrate the wealth of excellent local produce that the Peak District has to offer, however there are so many additional attractions for all ages, and entry is free!
This year’s attractions include entertainers including Rachels magical entertainment and Disney characters on the Saturday; Jessica Ellis will be performing songs from the musicals: James McKay and his owls of Harry Potter fame, bands and children’s rides and there will be crafts and gifts stalls in the Medway Centre and Brigade Hall.
The entertainment will be held in the marquee on Market Place.
Bakewell’s regular Farmers’ Market will be held on the Saturday from 9am-2pm in the Agricultural Centre and please don’t forget to visit the town’s wonderful selection of shops, hotels and cafes during your stay!
